I am a Halloween queen fiend, and when I saw this beautiful costume available for around $9, I had to jump on it. Boy, am I glad that I did.I am 5'7" , 135 pounds.Normally a medium/6/8 in dresses with 34B for top measurement. My weight tends to carry mainly in my hips/butt. Why am I telling you all this? Because I'm someone who also reads the comments to figure out what size would ever fit correctly.Right out of the box, everything was put together splendidly. When buying costumes, I am always prepared to sew maybe a seam or two, but the needle needn't make an appearance on this one. I tried the dress on and it fit just like magic. I'm not squished into it in any way. There's even room for me to wear a pushup bra if I wanted to, but barely even necessary. There is room and flexibility enough to comfortably twirl forever. If you needed to run through some animatronic demonic woods from a huntsman and an evil queen....This dress would certainly be easy to dash through, and wail in until woodland creatures come to your aide. However, if the queen's men are looking carefully, they might spot of gold glitter littering your path.Glitter is no problem, though if you are running from carefully trained glitter guards RUN FASTER AND ZIGZAG, GODSPEED. But for me, who is simply waiting until Halloweekend, I've taken it out of the box maybe twice and there have been slight glitter attacks. Really not a problem. For the price I paid, I am in awe of the quality of this costume. Even the accessories, the headband and the cape, just make everything a million times better.Ever since I was little, with pale skin and blue eyes and dark hair, I wanted to be Snow White. Now that dream can come true!I normally wear size 16 pants and a size XL top so I ordered the size 18-20 and it fits perfectly! The yellow skirt is darker than the ultra light yellow than shown on this site, but it's a really nice yellow in person! The skirt has a top crenolin-type top layer with a thin satin-type underlayer. Underneath that is a paper towel-like knee-length fabric that adds some poof to the skirt. Though, I might end up getting a petticoat to wear underneath anyway. After all, what's a princess without a puffy dress? The fit is as pictured where the skirt and bodice meet is close to the bottom of my ribcage (I'm about 5 ft. 6 in.) and barely touches the floor. With some flats and a little more poof to the skirt, I won't need to take the hem up any. The stitching isn't fabulous and I could hear some stitches breaking as I gently tried it on and took it off, so be careful. The cape is removable.I think I can comfortably wear this all day; not too tight anywhere. With some red glitter shoes, this will work well for an all day costume, but I don't think I'll get much more than a couple of wears out of it. Good purchase for the price!I ordered this costume for a Halloween party I will be attending. I ordered the medium and was worried it would be a little big because I am a dress size 6; the costume runs on the small side so it fits just right. Yes, it is long on me, but at 5' 4" I expected this; it will be fine with a pair of 3" heels. I have had my share of store bought costumes; as far as the quality of the material goes it's consistent with the material of other costumes in the same price range. Let's face it, unless you're willing to fork over $200 or more to buy a costume (like if you're going to a themed wedding or something), or want to rent one, you're going to get this type of costume. The material & construction is sturdy enough that it won't rip when I sit down or move around or anything (we've all had that happen I am sure); I even ironed it and it was fine. I figured out that you can get the collar to stand up by adjusting it with the Velcro tabs on the back of it. I was ecstatic to be able to get it on sale. This is the same costume the Disney store sells; but they didn't have a medium. It worked out just fine for me because if I would have purchased it there I would have paid $65. I was not disappointed in the least. And I am looking forward to wearing it.I got a large and am sending it back. I am 5'8, 162lbs. 36in bust, 31in waist, and I figured I could just send it back and get a medium, but as I looked a bit closer, there is a 15% restocking fee, I don't get my shipping back which was $5 and the medium is the only one that you CAN'T get Amazon Prime (started my free trial). Not only that, but the elastic around the puffy sleeves was super tight even on the large so I know that even if I get a medium, my arms will be super uncomfortable and I really wouldn't say I have fat or muscular arms.On top of that, the dress isn't the best quality. I do princesses for parties and the seams and the edges are just not well done for what I want. The closure in the back is Velcro. The sparkles on the yellow skirt of the dress are only on the front, there is an obvious line down the side where the fabric is different from the front and the back, the same can be said for the blue bodice. The blue fabric on the back is not as good. They conveniently don't have any pictures of the back of the dress for you to know that before you purchase. If you're just dressing up for Halloween, the quality would probably work, but for me portraying princesses, I will look for something higher quality.Yes, the sleeves are astonishingly tight. I also had some trouble wiggling the elastic waist over my shoulders, snapping more than a few threads in the process. And the neckline is surprisingly low--too low and too wide to wear much underneath.Setting aside those small problems, the costume otherwise looks good. The colors are bright, the skirt is glittery on the front half, and there's a stiff half-skirt underneath to give some volume. The back of the bodice isn't velvety like the front, but it's covered by the cape. All in all, I'm pleased to have an inexpensive costume that will suit my purposes!Costume was true to size and was exactly as shown in the picture. Very happy with our purchase!
